How I Prepare a Design for WordPress Development

I use WordPress for a variety of projects. I have to say that I have a love-hate relationship with it for many reasons. I'll save those for another time but for the most part, it's a great content management system that gets the job done. My WordPress development and workflow has evolved in the past couple of years. I used to make use of different tools and was scared of the command line. Slowly but surely I got more comfortable with my approach and now really love it.

When handing a site off to a client my agency Couple of Creatives prefers to allow the ability for a logged-in user to add or edit existing content. The reason for this is two-fold. First, to appease the client and make their lives easier and second, to keep the client from contacting us to make trivial changes. A lot of time can be wasted and as the saying goes, time is money.

As always there are many ways to accomplish the same thing. Your own process may vary but I wanted to share my own as a chance to start a discussion around the topic of WordPress theming, tools, etc...
