Let’s Build: A Consultancy Website – Part 27
Coding the Services Page
So far in this series you’ve seen me team up with my, now wife, Alyssa to design and build a consultancy website for marketing purposes. Part 27 marks the beginning of the coding phase for the services page.
Behind the scenes, I went ahead and carried out the design of the page. Rather than spend too much time filming it I sped forward so I could show you how we approach coding it.
The page utilizes a very similar style but has a few new graphics and call to actions. Also on this page is a contact form of which we will integrate in a later part of the series.
With Kirby there aren’t as many plugins as you might be used to with WordPress. In fact, the plugin base is very hands on in comparison. You’ll need to have some good knowledge of
PHP and general programming to extend a Kirby theme to a considerable degree. That being said we will make use of a plugin Kirby in this series that requires a bit of setup before it can work. More on this in the next few parts. Be sure to follow along!
